Loved it so much, I *had* to get one for my wife in her favorite color! Doesn't matter if its's cold, warm, cool or chilly this blanket always feels "just right". Have loaned it to friends at music fests and camping, they call it the "grandma" blanket (tm) because it always feels like a loving hug from grandma...

I purchased one of these blankets maybe 3-4 years ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Like I'm talking tell everyone you know about it, best blanket I have ever owned hands down. Here's why: It was super thick, really the perfect weight- not quite like a weighted blanket but beefy enough to offer some solid pressure when curling up on the couch or napping with it; it also had the best warmth to air flow/wicking ratio I've ever had in a blanket (I didn't even know that was a thing until I had this blanket)...this thing was SO INSANELY WARM like perfectly toasty and yet it never once made me sweat (you know when your feet get kinda sweaty but you want to keep the blanket on? None of that here), it truly offered the perfect warm, dry heat.
NOW notice I used all past tense there... I just purchased 2 new blankets with the two for one deal (saw the deal and couldn't resist because I was so obsessed with my first blanket). The new blankets I received did not have the same thickness or weight to them. It was definitely the same material, but the quality felt less solid, almost like they said "hey, nobody will notice if we make these just a tad thinner". I get it! BUT I noticed and it made a huge difference to me and for the price of these blankets, I couldn't justify it. I sadly had to return them. I did compare the two new blankets to my old one and it is significantly thicker (I had to be sure I wasn't dreaming this up). I have to say because I loved the first blanket so much, I will keep an eye out here and maybe buy again in a while to see if the quality went back up but for now, ugh MAN I am SO bummed!
Hi Katie! Thank you so much for your feedback. We haven't changed the materials of our blankets at all. The reason why the Newport Blanket feels thinner is because it's a solid color blanket. Less yarn is used to make these blankets since they don't have patterns with multiple colors of yarn running through them. They're still very warm but weigh less and may feel thinner overall as you described because they are one color instead of 3-5 like our patterned options. It's soft, great size, easy to shake sand off of after lying on it at tha beach!
It also is used to put on the back of my car when loading the kayak onto the rollers of the rack!

Overall it’s really great. Personally I could do without the “frills” on the ends of the blanket and I wish it was a little heavier but that doesn’t detract from it. Totally worth it and I am really happy.
