What Makes It Special

Handwoven on a traditional wooden loom, and never machine-made. Each blanket is a functional piece of art, made to be used, loved, and passed down.

  • Crafted from 100% recycled clothing fibers
  • Woven by skilled artisans, one thread at a time
  • Softer with every use, and made to last
  • Large enough to share, bold enough to display
  • Designed in Colorado, ethically woven in Mexico

The best things aren't made in factories. And that's why many of our artisans also continue the tradition of home weaving, allowing them to determine their own hours, wages, and workload.

From the materials to the craftsmanship to the 100% Recycled Materials, every detail is woven with intention.

FAQ

How big is a Trek Light blanket?

Every Trek Light blanket measures about 6.5 feet long by 4.1 feet wide and weighs around 3.2 pounds. That's big enough for two people to share, or to drape over a bed, couch, or picnic table. Because each one is handwoven, the exact size can vary by an inch or two.

Are the blankets soft, or more of a woven texture?

These are handwoven blankets, so they start with a textured, made-to-be-used feel rather than a fluffy fleece. Here's the best part: they get softer with every wash and every year. That's exactly why so many people say it becomes the most-reached-for blanket in the house.

Why does my blanket look a little different from the photo?

Every blanket is handwoven by artisans one thread at a time, so colors and patterns shift slightly from piece to piece. That variation is the mark of a real handmade item, not a flaw. For the truest sense of the colors, browse the customer photos in the reviews before you order.

How do I wash a Trek Light blanket?

Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle, on its own, then air dry or tumble low. A little pilling or a few loose threads can show up early with any handwoven piece and settles down with use. So go ahead: use it, wash it, love it, and it'll love you right back.

What are the blankets made of, and where?

Every Trek Light blanket is handwoven in Mexico from 100% recycled materials, giving new life to fabric that would otherwise head to the landfill. Each one is designed in Colorado and made to become an heirloom, and we plant a tree for every blanket sold.
