Founder's Corner

With all the end-of-year chaos and email blasts filling your inbox, I thought we'd take a little break from The Weekly Light and come back fresh in the new year.

It's good to be back to connect with you all.

But...we're only 2 weeks in, and what a doozy it's been. We've got war drums beating, stormtroopers in the streets, and we lost Bob Weir this weekend.

I'd say it's time for a little light.

First, some quick updates on our end:

1. Our Pay What You Can program is still here, and the happiness we're hearing from you is what's keeping it going.

I still don't know how long we'll be able to keep it running, but "as long as it feels right" is what we're going with for now. And boy, does it feel right.

2. If you've still got a preorder in the queue, thank you for your patience! We're doing our best to navigate shipping delays, tariffs, and everything in between, and we've got LOTS of inventory on its way to get your favorites back in stock in the days and weeks ahead.

Here's to making 2026 brighter, each and every day...

- Seth

Product News

NEW Fanny Pack 2.0 Designs - In Stock!

One of our most overwhelming requests in 2025 was for more packs in timeless, neutral colors that pair well with any outfit. You asked, we delivered!

Our bestselling Everyday Fanny & Crossbody Packs are now available in 3 new styles: Eclipse, Fern, and Golden Hour.

PLUS - we made some design improvements to make this our best crossbody pack yet.

And, we also went stealth on the exterior branding for all you anti-brand lovers out there. (Just remember to tell everyone where you got it!)

They're already selling fast, and our initial inventory is limited, so grab your favorites before they sell out.

To make room for the new styles, we're discontinuing our Checkers pattern - and it's now 40% off while supplies last. We've got less than 50 left in the warehouse right now, so get them before they're gone for good!

From Our Table To Yours

Marcella Hazan's Legendary Tomato Sauce

There's all-day Sunday Gravy, and then there's this.

The easiest, fastest, and best-tasting tomato sauce you can make from scratch in a hurry.

Whole tomatoes, a single onion cut in half, a little salt, some butter. And 45 minutes later, you're never buying store-bought tomato sauce again.

What We're Listening To

Bob Weir 1947 - 2026

This one hit me hard.

The Grateful Dead has been a soundtrack to my life, and has played a role in inspiring our products, going back to the day I first "got on the bus" in the 90's.

I spent the weekend in a bit of shock, reminiscing on all the joy the music and the community has brought to me over the years.

On Sunday night, we brought our son out to the Boulder Theater, for an incredible night of dancing and celebrating Bob's life and music. It was cathartic and inspiring, and exactly what we all needed.

I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as too late when it comes to discovering the music of The Grateful Dead.

Hidden behind any of the preconceptions you might have is the greatest catalog of American music by any one band on the planet, just waiting to be discovered.

If you like country, one day you'll find their country songs and wonder how you missed it. Folk, rock, blues, jazz, 80's, disco, gospel, psychedelic poetry from the heavens - it's all there. And you'll find it someday, if you haven't already.

Bob Weir carried the torch for all of us, and I'm forever grateful.

- Seth

When it comes to sharing a single album here, I'm going with Ace.

Bobby's first solo album, released in 1972. It's accessible, timeless, and all-killer-no-filler. Enjoy.

Quote of the Week

Faring thee well now
Let your life proceed by its own designs

Nothing to tell now
Let the words be yours, I'm done with mine.
