Founder's Corner

THANK YOU.

To everyone who has made a purchase in the last week, helped to spread the word about our Pay What You Can offer, and even paid it forward to help us and others:

THANK YOU.

Word is spreading, and I woke up yesterday morning to find this incredible feature in Parade Magazine.

Beloved Outdoor and Home Goods Retailer Offers 'Pay What You Can' Holiday Sale to Help Struggling Shoppers

And the happy tears started flowing.

I've always believed that if we keep doing what we're doing - running a small business with heart, making good products that last, and just being good people who give a @#$ about doing the right thing - that eventually others will notice.

I still believe that, but I was reminded this past week that when it comes to karma, the 'wait for it to come back to you' approach isn't always the best path.

It's really hard for people to help you if they don't know you need help.

Thanks for showing up for us this week, so we can keep showing up for you.

We're just getting started.

- Seth

P.S. Forgive us in advance for the extra email & SMS blasts to come around Black Friday and into the holidays - I know your inboxes will be slammed, but if you can still remember to open & click a link in our emails in the days ahead it really goes a long way towards keeping us out of the dreaded spam filter.

From Our Table To Yours

The Carajillo

It's Thanksgiving week, so you probably need a little pick-me-up.

When I first saw this recipe, it was the headline that got me: "The 2-Ingredient Carajillo Puts Espresso Martinis to Shame"

You'll need to buy one liqueur (Licor 43) that you may have never even heard of until this recipe, but in my experience you can find it just about any well-stocked liquor store.

Just add 2oz of espresso, or cold brew, shake it real good, and prepare to meet your new favorite wake-up (or decaf) cocktail.

What We're Listening To

The Harder They Come Soundtrack
Jimmy Cliff

We lost a legend when Jimmy Cliff passed this week.

Back in 2010, I had a photo pass taking pictures from the pit at Mile High Music Festival in Denver, and I had the unforgettable experience of watching Jimmy Cliff share his magic, standing about 5 feet in front of me.

The Harder They Come soundtrack has tracks from other great artists too, and you'll never go wrong just letting this entire album play to start your day.

Product Spotlight

Grateful Every Day Hat

A daily reminder to appreciate life - and a subtle nod for those who know the music never stops.

Be Grateful Every Day, but especially today.

Quote of the Week

I believe in people
White and black and blue

I believe in people
Who don't believe the same way I do

Because I know someday
Love is going to shine its own way through

I believe in letting people
Do what people do.
