Founder's Corner

How's everyone doing?

The week flew by in our world - we had a great Halloween with the kiddos, and those of us in the US experienced another mid-term, but pretty consequential, election. Whew.

Heather & I went to a friend's Oyster party (yessss), where my status as an oyster lover and Rhode Island native led to me being recruited to help shuck 200+ oysters for the hungry crowd.

I learned the hard way that my wrist wasn't in peak shucking shape, and it took about 3 days for the soreness to finally wear off. But, if you're thinking about inviting me to your next oyster party - it's an injury I'm willing to risk anytime if it means I get to eat oysters all day.

On the business front, we're getting ready for the busy holiday shopping crunch, and all the work that entails.

This is (another?) one of those years where it feels like we're all struggling together. We need your support as a small business more than ever, and we know that you're struggling just the same to figure out where and how to best spend your limited money on the things you want, and the gifts you need to buy.

Just know that we appreciate each and every one of you for your support, and we're here to support you however we can this holiday season.

More on that come, until next week!

From Our Table To Yours

Miso and Labne Onion Dip

When we got invited to the oyster party last weekend, we knew we needed to bring a worthy side dish.

We wanted to try something new and came across this recipe, an instant keeper.

Caramelizing the onions was the only time-consuming part, but it all came together quickly, and disappeared even faster.

Pair it with some fresh rippled chips, and then hover nearby to savor all the "WHO made this dip?" comments from the crowd.

What We're Listening To

The Revelator
Phosphorescent

This album is the soundtrack to a cherished family memory of ours.

Seth & I first listened to it during a road trip along California’s coast with our son and daughter. The music was the perfect soundtrack to the endless ocean views and towering redwood trees.

Now, every time I listen, I’m transported back to those winding California roads, and the sense of carefree wonder that came with them.

What albums always take you back to an unforgettable road trip or vacation memory?
